The release of the ‘Georgetown’ has been slow, its date was changing regularly but it finally hit select APAC regions toward the beginning of 2022 and then on April 2 it received a Stateside drop. Even the pre-release cycle was lengthy, we actually first heard about the return all the way back in July of 2021 with leaked imagery and word flying around on an almost-monthly basis since. Everyone was psyched, and they had good reason to be, because this AJ1 is actually a recreation of the fabled ‘Georgetown Hoyas’ Player Exclusive from way back in 1985. It also uses the Air Jordan 1 High ’85 version, which according to , accurately represents Michael Jordan’s first signature model.
