It's an Early Christmas on this Air Jordan 1 Mid

With the end-of-year holidays right around the corner, Jordan Brand have opted to get in the Christmas mood a little early with a special Air Jordan 1 Mid. Officially named 'University Red/Pomegranate', it looks just as much like a tree ornament as it does a sneaker, and – intentionally or otherwise – is loaded with holiday spirit.

Since this mid-cut Air Jordan 1 is dipped in red from heel to toe, it differentiates its pieces with alternating materials instead of shifting colours. This is achieved by combining crisp red leather with shimmering patent leather, making for a striking tonal look that's somewhat reminiscent of Jordan Brand's famed Air Jordan 1, Air Jordan 2 and Air Jordan 3 'Legends of the Summer' PEs created for Justin Timberlake's 2013 tour of the same name. It's completed by familiar details like a debossed ball-and-wings logo on the lateral collar flap, and contrasted by a white midsole.

Currently, there's no official release date for the Air Jordan 1 Mid 'University Red/Pomegranate.' However, it'll likely slide onto shelves before the year draws to a close.
