Clapping Back: Ja Morant Leaks His Own Shoes This Time

‘Gon start leaking my own shoes.’ That’s what had to say on his Instagram last week, just hours after sneaker leakers published a first look at an upcoming colourway of his . In 2025, sneaker leaks are firmly a part of the sneaker release cycle. While most ignore them, Ja addressed them head-on. Now, just a week later, he is proving to be a man of his word and that his bag is deep. The Memphis Grizzlies star took to Instagram this weekend to show off a never-before-seen colourway of the Ja 2 and an Air Force 1 PE.

Both sneakers come dressed in an identical bright yellow and black colourway. The uppers are yellow, highlighted by black swooshes, soles and laces. The Air Force 1 features Ja’s signature logo embossed on the heel and both sneakers have his ‘12:00 AM’ logo on the heel as well. The most noticeable design element is the inscription that runs along the medial side of both shoes, ‘Let me be Ja’. This message is written in Ja’s handwriting. Unfortunately for fans, both sneakers appear to be player exclusives and not destined for a release, however, credit to Ja for getting ahead of leakers on this one. Time will tell if other athletes will follow in Ja’s footsteps and start leaking their own sneakers.
