Update May 31, 2023: Just a single day after leaked imagery began circulating, Jacquemus officially announced their next collaboration with Nike: the J Force 1.

This pair is a hybrid build, incorporating the woven sole unit from the ACG Terra with the upper of the Air Force 1. A drop date is locked in for June 13 via the Jacquemus webstore, and the announcement of a wider drop may follow soon.

Update May 30, 2023: Just a day after the Jacquemus x Nike Air Force 1 collaboration was confirmed, we now have a potential first look at what the collaboration might look like. Surfaced via an eBay listing, it appears the sentiment in Simon Porte’s Instagram caption has been confirmed: ‘A sophisticated shoe with the spirit of an AF1’.

So you’ll find leather uppers and mesh tongues, met with woven-like midsoles wrapping all around the shoes and mini metallic Swooshes. The previously seen ‘JF1’ lace dubraes are in place, along with the lace tabs, which can be seen as part of the weave. Take a look at the pairs here and stay locked for further updates.

Update May 29, 2023: The Jacquemus x Nike Air Force 1 collaboration has been confirmed, with the revealing of an opening editorial campaign. The shared video captures a glimpse of both black and white Air Force 1s as worn by the models, but design details on the pairs remain scarce at this time. Simon Porte’s Jacquemus are only just getting started with his sneaker collaborations. Last year, Jacquemus delivered their take on Nike’s Air Humara, debuting the colab with a cream colourway. Following suit was an almost all-brown take, culminating with this hot-pink iteration – one of the brightest sneakers released in 2022. Porte has all eyes on what’s coming next, teasing his latest foray with Team Swoosh on one of the brand’s more ubiquitous models: the Air Force 1.

Porte was careful not to reveal much at all from the upcoming collaboration, showing only a select few details to expect on the pairs. Among them were specialised lace dubraes that feature a mashup of both Air Force 1 and Jacquemus to create ‘JF1’. The images also revealed curated lace aglets, a finer detail not unexpected from the luxury brand. Not much else has been unveiled so far, but you can anticipate the overall design to be refined and minimalist.
