JD Sports' Latest Sydney Flagship Store is Now Open For Business
Last month, announced they’d be launching their brand new flagship store in the heart of Sydney’s CBD. Located on Pitt Street Mall, the two-storey shop is the latest example of the global brand’s flagship offering. And it’s officially open for business. As a prequel to the big day, JD Pitt Street hosted an epic in-store soiree for a select list of invitees who were offered a first look inside, entertainment, eats and more. Ensuring that the energy was running high and the vibes electric, there were live performances from A.Girl and SOPHIEGROPHY, along with appearances from the UK’s CHUNKS and Darkest.
But that was just the calm before the storm that was JD Pitt Street’s opening day. Pre the store opening, JD promised an exciting list of things to look forward to, and they absolutely delivered. As is the course of business for JD Sports openings, there were hundreds in the lineup of dedicated shoppers outside the location, with some having rocked up a day in advance. Once early birds were granted access into the store, they had first dibs on JD’s most hyped product, including their curation of retro and the latest Dunks, all of which sold out lightning quick. In addition to the limited releases, shelves were stacked with loads of JD-exclusive product, including , Mexicanas and more. Those keen to curate a head-to-toe ‘fit sifted through the apparel, ranging all the way from to Downstairs is where you’ll find the kid's dedicated offering, including sneakers, apparel and more. Given JD’s knack for having something for everyone, punters walked out with a smile along with brand new items to re-up their rotations.
There was also more action happening outside, with JD and Nike teaming up for a limited edition ‘AM1 Workshop’. Celebrating the return of the Air Max 1 to JD shelves, the activation was available to all those who purchased the returning icon, affording customers the option of customising their own Nike sidebag or tee.
The best part is, JD Pitt Street is now officially open for business, meaning that you can come on down and cop up a storm.
