Update December 14, 2023: We get a detailed look at the upcoming JJJJound x adidas Samba, this time in white. Premium leather makes up the upper with suede seen on the iconic T-toe. The biggest deviation from the OG colourway is the dandelion liner and black tongue, with Samba branding replaced with JJJJound's on the lateral side.

Update November 1, 2023: After months of leaks and speculation, it appears that the JJJJound x adidas Samba is scheduled to launch November, 2023. The information was obtained by Sneaker News and reportedly based on internal adidas documents.

It’s been another seismic year for Montreal mood board maestros JJJJound. Collaborating with seemingly everyone in the sneaker industry, it now looks like JJJJound are readying a partnership with adidas and their iconic model resurgent in the zeitgeist: the Samba.

With images first surfacing on November 28, the rumoured collaboration will supposedly arrive in two neutral colourways, with both iterations extending the minimalist vernacular of JJJJound’s founder, Justin R. Saunders.

The tan colourway is undoubtedly the more interesting of the duo, with Three Stripes and JJJJound branding adding definition to the hairy and smooth mix of suede.

Interestingly, the classic gilded ‘Samba’ branding looks conspicuously absent from the collaboration.

Neither party have confirmed the collaboration, but keep it locked to Sneaker Freaker for updates.

In the meantime, check out the complete history of JJJJound’s footwear collaborations.
