Update October 19, 2022: New Balance and Joe Freshgoods have announced an official release date for the ‘Performance Art: Made to Wear Well’ 993 collection! They’ll be available to buy in select countries from October 21. Keep your eyes peeled!

Update October 5, 2022: Joe Freshgoods has announced the opening release details for his New Balance 993 collaboration: ‘Performance Art: Made to Wear Well’. From October 4–7, those who are eligible to enter the raffle can drop by JFG’s Every Now & Then store in Chicago for their chance to score. To join the raffle, you need to bring new or gently used books or art supplies that meet the requirements for donation.

Joe Freshgoods continues to expand his partnership with New Balance, the Chicago native this time collaborating on a trio of pastel-coloured 993s. Officially dubbed the ‘Performance Art: Made to Wear Well’ collection, the project was originally released via Joe’s Instagram Stories earlier this month.

Manufactured in grey mesh base layers and playful pastel suede overlays, each 993 is paired with a yellowed, faux-aged midsole intended to elevate the heritage aspects of the silhouette. Each model will also come with a ‘Performance Art’ card explaining the inspiration behind the project.
