Jordan Brand Reveal CNY 'Year of the Tiger' Collection For 2022
Every year, celebrate the Chinese New Year with a special footwear capsule. 2022 is the 'Year of the Tiger', so the Jumpman have cooked up a three-pack of new kicks in celebration – namely fresh iterations of the , the and the .
Out of these three styles, the low-cut is both the loudest and the most limited. It features tiger print on its toebox and quarter panels, plus a growling tiger head on its heel. These pieces are surrounded by cream, orange and black detailing. Custom collar lining and yellowed soles with a large ball-and-wings logo add further flair, while an individually-numbered tag on the inside of the tongue shows that there were only a scant 5000 pairs made!
On the other end of the spectrum, the low-top and the Legacy 312 offer a more muted mixture of sail, gold and jade. The adult-sized pairs of the AJ 6 are low-cut, but it was made in a full family size run and its pre-school and toddler iterations are both laceless high tops.
All three of these styles will reportedly release in the APAC region on December 30, then see a global drop sometime in 2022. However, this information has yet to be confirmed by Nike, and we wouldn't be too surprised if the Air Jordan 1 Low was a China exclusive.
