In 1985, Michael Jordan made basketball history by shattering the backboard with a fierce dunk. He did so wearing a black and orange uniform, which led Jordan Brand to celebrate the moment with a ‘Shattered Backboard’ colourway to match. First appearing on an Air Jordan 1 High in 2015, it has grown to be a popular palette for the Jumpman, and is now slamming onto the Jordan Nu Retro 1.

The iteration has the standard white leather panels in the middle on the lateral side, with the Wings logo debossed into it and a smaller Jumpman logo on the midsole. The base of the design is in black, with the orange featuring on the heel panel, back section of the midsole, and the outsole. The insole also appears in the orange, with the tongue and laces coming in inky black.
