Update November 15, 2023: Nike have unveiled official photos of the Jordan Spiz'ike Low 'Houston Oilers'. Check out the photos above and keep it locked to Sneaker Freaker for any updates.
Paying homage to Hollywood legend , the Jordan originally launched in 2006. Combining several elements from previous models (including the , , , and ), the latest colourway to arrive is inspired by the former American football team, the Houston Oilers, who were active between 1960 and 1996.
Composed in a mix of ‘Fountain Blue’, ‘Football Blue’ and ‘University Red’, the model utilises vibrant nubuck uppers and classic elephant print overlays – of course a classic design hallmark of the Air Jordan 3.
Elsewhere, additional detailing comes in the form of matching neoprene tongues, netting, and TPU elements. In terms of branding elements, the model is emblazoned with ‘University Red’ Jumpman iconography on the tongues, laces toggles and ‘JORDAN’ undersoles. On the rear, Spiz’ike motifs strike the heels. Finally, the Air units down below are coloured in the aforementioned blue.
Look for the Jordan Spiz'ike ‘Houston Oilers’ to arrive sometime over the coming months.
In the meantime, make sure to check out the Air Jordan commercials of all time (featuring several Spike Lee appearances).
