Kerby Jean-Raymond of Pyer Moss is Reebok’s New Vice President of Creative Direction
have bolstered their presence in the sneaker world by appointing Kerby Jean-Raymond as their new Vice President of Creative Direction. Jean-Raymond has been working closely with the Boston-based brand since 2017, via the Reebok by collaboration series, so this is a continuation of that fruitful relationship for both parties.
Best known as the founder and designer of fashion label Pyer Moss, Jean-Raymond will continue in that position while simultaneously shaping Reebok’s creative and design vision for the years to come.
‘I welcome this opportunity to help invigorate the brand with new ideas, while also focusing on instilling a sense of social purpose into our work,’ said Jean-Raymond on the new role, which forms part of Reebok’s senior leadership team.
The designer will also be an integral part of Reebok’s ‘Product with Purpose’ program as the brand works towards their self-appointed ‘United Against Racism’ stance, which will launch in 2021.
While the official announcement was made overnight, sneakerheads will have to wait until 2022 to see the first Reebok products created under Jean-Raymond’s direction. In any case, it will be very exciting to see where he takes the brand with his unique insight.
Congratulations to Kerby Jean-Raymond and Reebok!
