Release Date: Kith's Celebratory New Balance 1700

Update September 20, 2023: Kith have announced their fresh Toronto flagship location... and the release details for their NB1700! The 'Roccoco Red' colourway will launch exclusively via Kith Toronto on September 22. But don't fret if you can't make it to 78 Yorkville Ave, because on September 25, both colourways will launch via the Kith webstore. The 'Marshmallow' combo will also see a release at all Kith brick-and-mortars.

Ronnie Fieg and Kith are continuing to expand across the globe, as locations now span across the US, Asia and Europe. Canada is next to be added to the list, as a Kith Toronto location is expected to open up in the near future, and Ronnie have some Canadian-themed New Balance 1700s on the way for the store’s opening.

The New Balance 1700 was first introduced in 1999, and Kith put their touch on the sneaker back in 2020. This time, the sneaker takes inspiration from the Canadian flag, using red and cream suede on the upper respectively. 3M hits are placed throughout, with 1700 branding seen on the tongue and embossed on the lateral heel. Cream appears on the ABZORB, ENCAP and C-CAP cushioning used in the midsole, with red accents and black and gum outsoles finish off the respective colourways.

A release date is still unknown for the Kith x New Balance 1700, but expect it to be a Kith Toronto exclusive for the store’s opening. Keep it locked to Sneaker Freaker as we await more information.
