LeBron James To Star In Space Jam 2?
There is serious buzz right now that Space Jam, the but classic 90s live action/animation film beloved by squillions of children and Jordanheads, may get a sequel starring . It would be a most high compliment to LBJ to fill the ball boots of Michael Jordan, but will it actually happen, and how would Mike feel? Obviously LeBron would never be able to top Jordan's exemplary acting (see below), but it would be very interesting to see if a sequel could garner anywhere near the same fanfare. We can't trace how the rumour started, but while James says he doesn't know anything about it, he was happy to offer his services.
'It's news to me,' he told the about the unlikely project. 'I haven't heard anything about it. Like I said, I've always loved Space Jam 1. It was one of my favorite movies growing up. If I have the opportunity, it'd be great. I haven't heard about it. Maybe they've got it in my office. I haven't been to my office in a while.'
Space Jam 1? It's not called Space Jam 1 unless there's a Space Jam 2, right? It's just Space Jam. Hmmm, curiouser and curiouser.
James also showed he was willing to commit to the role with hefty research on how to defeat the Monstars.
'Those guys are very intimidating and they're bigger than us,' he said. 'We've got to do our due diligence here on Earth.'
