Li-Ning SS22 Showed Off Plenty of Fresh Footwear Options
recently presented their SS22 collection on China's Hainan Island, and though it was a star-studded event – part of the Reframing Perspectives music festival that included art installations, music performances and even an appearance from Jackie Chan – we were fixated on the sneakers!
New silhouettes and upgraded versions of classics alike walked down the beach as part of the show, a handful of which can be seen above. There was the Cosmos Premium (an update on a classic Li-Ning sneaker from 1992), a Millennium Era that features an exaggerated structural design inspired by 'bread shoes' and an upgraded iteration of the Wu Xing II with its midsoles and uppers set into a special foam frame. There were also plenty of bright colours and striking details to be had, and the tech-wear heads were not excluded from the party either as several styles featured futuristic BOA lacing systems.
Currently, Li-Ning has yet to announce a global launch for the collection's footwear styles. However, as they are earmarked for SS22, we can expect to see them in the early months of next year.
