Live Images of the 2021 Nike Air Max 90 ‘Bacon’ Retro
After what feels like of teasing and speculation, there are finally some images of the actual ‘Bacon’ retro that was originally thought to be releasing in 2020. Intriguingly, a size 12 briefly appeared on eBay over the weekend, and while the listing is no longer available, the pics are now part of the Internet forever. Enjoy them above.
The original ‘Bacon’ was a premium rendition of the AM90 with upgraded materials, including supple leather uppers and lining, plus a delectable palette of brown, red and pink. It’s a similar case here, with just about every panel replicated, albeit some proportions have changed somewhat. It is rather surprising to see Nike haven’t chosen to use their new remastered shape; they’ve instead opted for the previous silhouette with taller mudguards and toe bumpers – which may not get some sneakerheads sizzling. Shape aside, thoughtful details are considered on this reissue (though it’s not confirmed at this stage whether it counts as another collaboration with the now-defunct , who were behind the design) such as the arch support inserts and three sets of complementary shoelaces.
Now it’s simply a case of waiting for the official release confirmation from Nike. It certainly has been a while since the rumours of an Air Max Day 2020 release…
