Loewe Declared ‘World’s Hottest Brand’ in Q2 2023 Report, Nike Scrape in Top-20 Spot
Fashion industry analysts Lyst have published their latest eponymous The Lyst Index report for Q2 2023, declaring Loewe as the ‘world’s hottest brand’. The three-month period saw some shuffling of popular designer labels without any major upsets. was the only sportswear company to land in the top 20.
Loewe isn’t a brand that appears often on sneaker media column inches, as their focus is more on the sartorial, but they have made some quirky shoes in the past. Among the quarter’s highlights identified by Lyst was their outfitting of Beyonce for her ‘Renaissance’ world tour. Loewe creative director JW Anderson’s eponymous company also held their 20th position from last quarter, releasing a new Uniqlo collaboration in the process.
Prada dropped one position from 1st to 2nd, while Versace, Miu Miu and Bottega Veneta rounded out the top five spots. The remaining 15 spots, with the exception of Nike, were all designer brands and featured in the Q1 2023 report.
Nike, the only sneaker-focused identity in the top 20 at 18th, launched various virtual activations, including on the video game Fortnite and debuted digital goods on their platform. There were a couple of notable physical product drops this past quarter, such as the J Force 1 collaboration with Jacquemus.
