Up Close with the F&F Louis Vuitton x Nike Air Force 1 in Yellow
One of the late, great final creations before his passing in November 2021 was the collection. An ultimate realization of Abloh's barrier-breaking street-meets-runway ethos, the collection paid homage to hip-hop style and New York City bootleg culture. Abloh, his team at and created several takes on the , ranging from styles that were to benifit the 'POST-MODERN' scholarship fund to that were given out to the designer's closest confidants. Now, sample and PE collector has provided a thoroughly detailed look at one of those eight F&F pairs, namely the yellow iteration.
Just like the other seven Air Force 1s in the set, this yellow pair features a full leather upper with debossed LV Damier print. The swaths of yellow are split by a similarly-patterned white Swoosh with a small neon green hangtag. Co-branded details appear on the asymmetrical tongue tag and the heel, while signature Helvetica text can be seen on the midsole and the laces. The shoes also come packaged in a special breakdown box with high-end tchotchkes like leather Swooshes, a dust bag and a mini luggage tag, plus a postcard.
Unless you're willing to shell out some serious cash on the secondary market – assuming there are even any pairs there – you won't be able to get your hands on these LV Air Force 1s. However, you can check them out in detail above.
