Metcha Team Up with The Shoe Surgeon for Air Jordan 11 Giveaway
Leather gurus Metcha have linked up with bespoke sneaker king for their first-ever collaboration: a one-of-one . Created to celebrate the silhouette’s 25th anniversary, the custom crep is an ode to the iconic ‘Concord’ colourway.
Inspired by the airing of ESPN’s , Metcha rekindle their love affair with 90s basketball, creating one of the most luxurious Jays imaginable.
The uppers are made with tie-dye and off-white tumbled leather, complemented with leather laces. Special Metcha x The Shoe Surgeon logos are stamped on the rear, while an icy blue sole unit hits down below. Additionally, the number Michael Jordan used when he got back from his first retirement – 45 – is UV printed on the leather of the right shoe, while his more familiar 23 features on the left shoe.
‘I remember the Jordan 11 being one of my favourite shoes in high school, and there was just something about the Concords,’ says The Shoe Surgeon.
‘… I never owned a pair, I was a little hesitant to wear them. It was definitely one of the Jordans that pushed the envelope, and being able to recreate it is dope. It’s something that I’ve loved, messing with different silhouettes, and the opportunity to recreate this one with the leathers that we chose is exciting.’
The one-of-one pair is currently up for grabs via Metcha’s Instagram! Head to the post below to get involved in the giveaway.
