Moolah Kicks: Paving the Way for Gender Equality in Basketball
Moolah Kicks, the first basketball sneaker brand set up exclusively for female ballers, recently launched their first model as they continue their push for gender equality. The brand was founded in 2019 by Natalie White, a NYC native who grew up playing basketball, but was constantly frustrated by the many gender inequalities she found between the men’s and women’s game. With that in mind, Moolah Kicks are on a mission to make sneakers fit specifically for female ballers.
Designing and building their sneaker to biomechanically support the unique female foot shape, Moolah Kicks are enabling female athletes to play to their very best. The new model offers multidirectional tread for maximum grip, with the horizontal herringbone outsole enabling clean pivots and push offs. Support for your feet is reinforced by the unique female fit build, with solid lockdown laces widening towards the ankle. There’s also an EVA midsole for energy return, and each pair is lighter than the average men’s alternative.
You can now preorder to own a pair of Moolah Kicks’ first sneaker release by visiting their . The shoe comes in a choice of either a white or grey colourway. Moolah are crowdfunding this initial release to help raise the capital necessary to finance the production run of this first model. Moolah chose crowdfunding to align with their ethos of being a brand that is by female ballers, and for female ballers.
