A permanent fixture of America’s graffiti scene, Neckface’s bloody, medieval style has been seen all across the world, in Melbourne, Sydney, Copenhagen and Tokyo. Previously serving as the art director for Baker Skateboards, Neckface is no stranger to the sneaker game, the artist designing for shoes as well as working on a and Nike in 2013.
Neckface’s fiendish illustrations will now make their way towards the Nike the collaboration expected to arrive for Halloween. The SB Dunks are replete with patches revealing Neckface’s signature hellish, heavy metal vernacular, with imps brandishing swords, coiling snakes and infernal flames burying the classic Nike Swoosh on the lateral sides (this time moved to the ankle collar).
The tongues have also been overhauled to read ‘Face SB’ – a direct nod to the California artist. Down below, the midsoles have been covered in black tape, where lightening typography reads ‘shocker’.
