New adidas ‘Life Needs Equipment’ Site Celebrates EQT 30th Anniversary, Announces 12 Consortium Collaborations
A new website has launched celebrating the 30th anniversary of the (Equipment) line. Officially managed by Team Trefoil, the ‘Life Needs Equipment’ campaign includes an interactive shoe wall depicting four OG EQT models revived for this milestone, plus 12 different collaborations across these styles with adidas’ Consortium partners. Which makes a total of 16 releases for diehard collectors to sink their hard-earned into.
The adidas EQT line was launched in 1991, and 30 years later adidas have remastered some of the most recognisable models from the range’s early years. This includes the Running Support 93, which has been a perpetual fan favourite; the CSG Equipment 91, a tweaked version of the OG Cushion from 1991; and the Equipment Race Walk, a specialised walking shoe also from ’91. Joining this OG ‘Sub Green’ colourway line-up is the Equipment Prototype – a new interpretation of an EQT sample from 1993, which explains its similarities to the Running Support 93.
In addition to these OG bringbacks, three Consortium retailers are each getting their own collaboration on each model. These include , , and . Full interviews and image galleries of the retailers’ upcoming colabs can be read on the site.
