Courir Are Getting Exclusive New Balance 550s

Moodboarders and tote bag carriers (they’re one and the same, really) will say ‘sheeeesh’ at these incoming New Balance 550s that are going to be exclusive to French retailer Courir. Instead of bright accents in primary colours like red and blue, these pairs adopt softer, more continental tones of burnt coffee and pastel ice cream.

Shared by @wavefr, the leading pair above looks like some sort of JJJJound offshoot in its brown palette, and the following pair’s taupe tones could easily slot into their collaborative line too. For a bit more colour, there’s a fairy flossy mix of pink, yellow and blue that could very well be an Easter edition. Otherwise, the navy and red accented pair does offer some variation to the cut-and-paste editions seen on the high street. To Courir and New Balance’s credit, they’ve not just played Twister with the colour wheel, but they’ve also made sure each element of the shoes are balanced, such as the sectioned outsole accents.

Exclusive colourways are par the course for Courir, who have been carrying SMU product for over 20 years. This latest wave of NB 550s only continues that legacy, and they should be landing at their doors in coming weeks.
