The legendary New Balance 990 line continues to light up the sneaker industry in 2022, the flagship series tapped by everyone from JJJJound to Salehe Bembury in recent months. Given an extra burst of fuel thanks to Teddy Santis’ leadership ( Aimé Leon Dore​’s Santis was named creative director of New Balance in 2021), the New Balance 990v2 has been among the more popular iterations of the 99x line this year, the latest ‘Marigold’ colourway set to land this week.

Reminiscent of the popular adidas Yung-1 ‘Hi-Res Orange’ from 2018, the 990v2 utilises a ‘Marigold’ hue constructed with suede overlays and mesh inserts. Built with its signature ABZORB midsole cushioning, the 990v2 also joins NB’s commitment to local manufacturing, the colourway belonging to their prestigious 'Made in USA' line. Multi-density lining moulds to the feet, while wide wrapped tongues add durability. Finally, a blown rubber outsole ensures stability and grip.
