New Balance Link With Metro Boomin To Remix The 998

Metro Boomin doesn't trust many people, but the famous hip hop producer believes in New Balance enough to become the newest ambassador for the brand's NB1 sneaker customising platform. To show just what the NB1 project can do, Metro remixed the iconic  silhouette – hitting the nubuck upper with a black as dark as his brooding signature sound, and covering the tongue and ‘N’ branding in contrasting pastel pink.

The shoe ties in with Metro’s personal style, which he describes as an affinity for basics with a twist. ‘I really like simple stuff’, he explains, ‘[with a] splash of something crazy somewhere, like a splash of pink’.
