New Nike D/MS/X Sting Sample Spotted

Serial sneaker leaker solebyjc has shared first shots of an upcoming Nike silhouette under the experimental D/MS/X line. Experienced sneakerheads will instantly recognise the uppers are from late-70s runner, the Sting. However, the sole is definitely an anachronism.

The very curvy midsole has hints of Air Pippen 2, especially that blue angled accent. Gum dimpled soles maintain the old-school flavour that’s matched by the OG orange/green colourway upper. With all of the scribbles across the midsole foam, this definitely is still in sample stage, so the retail release product may or may not look the same. Hybrids can often go very badly, but this one seems promising.
