NIGO Names Pharrell Williams Advisor for HUMAN MADE

Industry legends Pharrell Williams and NIGO are no strangers to working together, but they’ve both taken a new step as Skateboard P joins HUMAN MADE as an advisor.

The duo’s relationship is longstanding: they were introduced through Jacob the Jeweler and bonded over NIGO’s collection of pop-culture artefacts. Noticing their commonalities, the relationship quickly escalated and they went on to launch Billionaire Boys Club and ICECREAM together. Since then, both NIGO and Pharrell have worked on a number of joint projects, including designing a line of sunglasses for Louis Vuitton and a collection for Uniqlo’s UT line, which NIGO was creative directing. In 2019, NIGO also worked with Pharrell and adidas on a HUMAN MADE x Tennis Hu, Solar Hu and Hu NMD.

Having made more than a just name for themselves within the streetwear scene, both NIGO and Pharrell were later appointed by two luxury fashion houses. NIGO joined KENZO in 2021, and Pharrell was named as Virgil Abloh’s successor at Louis Vuitton in 2023.

Given the pair’s relationship, it seems right to leverage their closeness into an official position. HUMAN MADE's advisory board is now looking stacked as a result, as just last year the brand also added KAWS to the team.
