The Nike Air Foamposite One ‘Dream a World’ Pays Homage to Seneca

One of the most unique hoops sneakers of the 1990s, the Nike Air Foamposite One, was originally made famous by superlative scorer Penny Hardaway.​

Still a beloved silhouette throughout Washington, NYC and beyond, the Foamposite picked up steam last year with Comme des Garçons’ wild rendition in November, the collaboration accompanied by some of the strongest campaign imagery we saw in 2021.

Flash forward to 2022, and the Foamposite continues to fascinate fans. The latest in line is the ‘Dream a World’ colourway, inspired by a quote from Roman philosopher Seneca.

The colourway, composed of a black foam shell replete with white scuff marks, features plush suede eyestays and collars. Elsewhere, a mesh inner bootie and patent-leather pull tabs bring material diversity. Quotes by Seneca are emblazoned throughout, including ‘Luck/Success Happens When Preparation Meets Opportunity’ and ‘Insert Your Dreams Here’.

The Nike Air Foamposite One ‘Dream a World’ is expected to land over the coming months.
