Next Season’s Nike Air Force 1 Boot is Equipped with CORDURA
Cold fronts are sweeping across the globe at the moment, and it’s just so convenient that are preparing to roll out some new adjusted for the imminent cool weather. The modifications necessitate a seasonal Boot designation, and this time the Swoosh have reprised the use of fabric too, for an extra layer of protection.
The Air Force 1 Boot is, of course, built on the model’s high-top version. This taller ankle shaft immediately offers additional coverage, but Nike don’t just call it a day here. Just about every component is redone to suit the rigours of wet and slippery conditions. The AF-1’s usual tread is swapped for an aggressively lugged rubber pattern that has plenty of mud-shedding channels. Above that are the usual Air-cushioned soles, and further up is an upper featuring both brushed nubuck panels with rolled seams for durability. For the toe box and mid sections, CORDURA textile enters the fray to lighten the load while remaining super strong. The final practical details are the oversized pull tabs, and a rubberised ankle strap closure, which aids operation with gloved fingers. Everything is set on an almost all-black colourway, save for gold Swoosh trims and tongue logos.
Keep an eye out for these Air Force 1 Boots to land at Nike retailers in coming weeks.
