Nike 'Colour of the Month' Gets Murdered Out in 'Black Jewel'

Nike strike again with their Air Force 1 ‘Colour of the Month’, this time opting for a murdered out ‘Black Jewel’ edition. The Swoosh resurrected the series last year for the model’s 40th anniversary, celebrating the iconic silhouette one colourway at a time. The series introduces new iterations and uses premium materials to make the releases just that little bit more special.

The ‘Black Jewel’ edition takes the ‘Triple Black’ colourway and gives it an update with a sleek upper constructed of soft tumbled leather that is better quality than the standard AF-1. According to Nike, this leather is easier to clean and is more resistant to dirt creeping into the fine pores of the leather. The star of the show is of course the jewel Swoosh that adds shine to an otherwise matte design. The Nike branding appears in white on the black insole, and is embroidered on the heel in black.

There’s no release date for the Nike Air Force 1 ‘Black Jewel’ yet, so stay locked to Sneaker Freaker for any updates. When it does release though, it’s expected to come in men’s sizes for $150.
