The Nike Air Force 1 ‘Enamel Green’ Kicks It In Canvas
In recent history, the has been been transformed time and time again as an experimental plaything for the brand. However, for 2022 – the highly anticipated of the model – it looks like the Swoosh is keeping it conventional with editions such as the ‘Enamel Green’.
This is far from the first time minty shades have freshened up the AF-1. Last year, Sneaker Freaker’s very own Woody designed the on the Nike By You program, featuring a blend of grainy leather and twill. And all the way back in 2013, Nike released an ‘ suede version, complete with crispy gum outsoles. Now, 2022 will see another material added to the mix: canvas.
The upcoming ‘Enamel Green’ Uptown sees tonal canvas uppers, contrasted with off-white laces, Swooshes, heel tabs, and solid rubber outsoles. This may appear somewhat flat at a distance, but a closer eye reveals the textural depth at play. The bordering panels – toe bumpers, eye stays and rear quarters – take on a rougher surface; while the mid and toe box inserts use a finer, almost chambray-like fabric.
The Nike Air Force 1 has always rewarded sticklers for detail, and those paying attention will expect to see the ‘Enamel Green’ on shelves in coming months.
