LeBron James’ Nike Air Force 1 Mid ‘Kings of LA’ is a One-of-One
As aims for another tilt at an another NBA ring, his current reign at the Los Angeles Lakers is being immortalised with another commemorative sneaker. This time it’s a one-of-one , dubbed the ‘Kings of LA’. A closer look of this pair makes it pretty clear why it’s named as such.
Firstly, James has long proudly held the nickname ‘King James’ – in fact, it’s his handle on social media. This is played out quite literally on these AF-1s, with a crowned king chess piece thickly embroidered onto the heels of the shoes. The heel panel had to be specially modified to accommodate this mod, as it’s quite large. Moving to the rest of the pair, it may look like just another plain pair of white-on-white Uptowns. A more discerning eye will see the raised jewel-like Swoosh on the lateral ankle strap, and behind the Swooshes on either sides appears to be a map of Los Angeles and its suburbs. Other premium features include likely much better leather than GR Forces, and golden lace dubraes.
According to , Dr Dre owns an all-black flip of this pair, which was gifted to him by James. Don’t expect to ever see them on the secondary market.
