Nike's Air Force 1 Mid 'Sun Club' Takes a Tropical Vacation
recent run of 'Sun Club' releases are a neverending summer in footwear form, and the latest classic silhouette to get in on the action is the . Though it was designed in Beaverton, Oregon – as the tag on the inside of its tongue proudly states – it was obviously made with clear skies, blue water and sandy beaches in mind!
The colour palette is undeniably tropical, blending pastel pink, blue, orange, yellow and green shades with more subtle khaki detailing. It's not just the hues used that make you think of a vacation either. Breezy linen is used on both the lateral and medial quarters as well as the heel tab, and it's contrasted by soft leathers and suedes.
The shoe's composition and colour are clearly compelling, but this mid-top most unique details are centred around its collar and heel. Apart from the above-mentioned 'designed in Beaverton, OR' hit on the back of the tongue, which appears under a graphic of a napping sneakerhead in a hammock, the front of the tongue features a 'Nike Sun Club' graphic and the heels supply an embroidered half-sun with a Swooshed smile, rising above a tropical vista!
If you want to take a tropical trip (with your kicks, at least), the Nike Air Force 1 Mid 'Sun Club' should be dropping in the coming weeks. A retail price has yet to be announced.
