Nike have a fun Air Force 1 colourway coming soon that plays off the concept of satellites. There are plenty of details to gawk at, so let’s get stuck into them.

The palette is primarily tan with contrasting red Swooshes – it wouldn’t be too much of a stretch to compare the combo to the collaborative Mars Yards of Nike collaborator and fellow space fanatic Tom Sachs. This smooth upper combo is met with textured, swirling Swooshes that join up to ice blue heel tabs that feature a similar finish. The blue is also matched up via the tinted ice outsoles and dubraes – the latter possibly appearing for the first time in this form. Rounding out the colour selection is black lining and tongues, and white laces and midsoles.

That’s not all. There’s ‘Nike’ printed into the lateral heel counter, in an intriguing cosmic font. And an image of a satellite on the tongue labels, thereby giving this AF-1 its nickname. This is further emphasised by the printed graphics on the insoles.

While there is no release date announced yet for these shoes, expect a release later this year, and perhaps even the possibility of a wider pack with other models.
