are continuing to spawn intriguing variants of the for its 35th anniversary. Next up is this multifaceted edition that features multiple elements used on the model over the years as a point of difference. The longer they’re observed, the more interesting they get.
First up, the iconic visible Air unit in the heel is actually made opaque to blend in with its surrounding foam midsole. This defiant move is yet to be explained by the Swoosh, but its story will likely be interesting. Speaking of Swooshes, the stitched version found on the AM1 is swapped for the ‘jewel’ variety, which has been a limited edition touch used over the years. Furthermore, the mini Swoosh stitched into the mudguard is another uncommon component.
This edition also hosts elastic shoelaces that are locked down with a silver toggle. Hardware is found elsewhere on the translucent external heel counter, giving structure to the neutral-grey mix of suede, neoprene and leather used on the upper.
