There’s plenty of things that happen for 2022 and although it won’t be as big as the contest or as revolutionary as when introduced this year will still hold some pretty epic drops!
Not one, but three have been created to celebrate every sneakerhead’s favourite hol--day in conjunction with the silhouette’s 35th anniversary. Hitting on March 26, we’ll be receiving the ‘Blueprint’, 'La Ville-Lumière' and a ‘Wabi-Sabi’ colourway and they’re all set to be region exclusives.
The Nike Air Max 1 ‘Blueprint’ is the North American pair and is inspired by the global appeal of the AM1 silhouette, hence the reason why globe graphics reach the rear section. The colour-blocking is pretty standard, opting for tumbled leather while technical drawings cover the Swoosh. The next is for the sneakerheads in Europe and will arrive in women’s sizing. Dubbed the 'La Ville-Lumière' AKA ‘City of Lights’ it honours Paris and chooses a natural look that’s been elevated with iridescent fabrics and special celebratory charm. Last but not least, the ‘Wabi-Sabi’, which will be touching down in select APAC countries and has taken cues from imperfect Japanese design and their love for Americana. Mismatched details cover both pairs with exposed stitching and cut out Swoosh smiley on the heel.
It’s almost March 26 and all three of these Air Max 1s will hit shelves on Air Max Day, the ‘Blueprint’ will release only in North America, the 'La Ville-Lumière' will be a Europe-exclusive and you can only cop the ‘Wabi-Sabi’ in select APAC countries.
