Kick It Wolf Style in the Nike Air Max 1 'Football Grey'
There’ll be no shortage of the iconic anytime soon, as the design has been a dominant Swoosh silhouette since its 1987 debut. While there’s countless loud and conspicuous tints of the sneaker, we will soon see the shape kitted out in a subtle colourway for the women’s-exclusive Air Max 1 in ‘Football Grey’.
Constructed with the Air Max 1’s signature fusion of mesh, leather, and suede, the colour palette consists of white, black, 'Platinum Tint', and 'Football Grey'. White coats the mesh base with the 'Platinum Tint' shade lacquering the overlays, and the mudguards and Swooshes are splashed with the titular hue. The overall aesthetic lends the shoe an almost iridescent quality, with the muted 'Football Grey' almost blending in against the snow and tinted canvas. The colour scheme of the Air Max’s revolutionary sole unit replicates the upper palette with the Air unit sitting amid an off-white midsole. The colouring is brought to a consistent finish with a greyscale waffle pattern decorating the outsole
The Nike Air Max 1 ‘Football Grey’ is scheduled for release in Spring 2024. Available exclusively in women’s sizing, the pair is expected to come with a $140 price tag.
