No, The Nike Air Max 1 Golf 'Tiger' Isn't a Tiger Woods PE
When 'golf' and 'tiger' are mentioned together in the same sentence, the subject is Tiger Woods 99.9 per cent of the time – especially in recent days, as he and his 12-year-old son Charlie dazzled at the PNC Championship. However, the Air Max 1 Golf 'Tiger' is part of that 0.1 per cent of conversation not related to Woods. It's a links-ready take on the classic with plenty of golf-specific tech, and, of course, a tiger-inspired colour scheme.
The Air Max 1 Golf 'Tiger' features a pony hair upper with tan and brown tiger stripes that's made almost entirely of bristly pony hair – save for the black suede toebox. Soft ice green Swooshes, heel hits and tongue badges bring some more vibrant flair into the mix because this design was clearly lacking for it, right? Down below, outsoles feature an enhanced traction pattern for all-weather grip. The look is completed by special Nike Golf branding on the insoles. Though the pattern is not identical, the look is somewhat reminiscent of the 'Tiger' style from 2019's pack.
This 'Tiger' take on the Nike Air Max 1 Golf has yet to receive an official release date, but it's likely to hit shelves in the early months of 2022.
