Nike continue to emphasise the Air Max 1 in 2023, transitioning from the Air Max 1 ‘Big Bubble’ of Air Max Day to new colourways like ‘Denim Leopard’, which bodes well momentum-wise for the Tinker Hatfield-designed shoe. Now a new ‘Mica Green’ colourway is set to drop – hopefully for the warmer months ahead in the States.

Using tried-and-true colour blocking, the Air Max 1 features white mesh for the base and tongue of the sneaker, with grey suede panels seen on the quarter panels and heel overlays. Tumbled leather in Mica Green accents the sneaker on the mudguard and Swoosh, and the same hue appears on the tongue tag and Nike Air branding stitched on the heel. The sneaker also includes an Air Max unit in the heel surrounded by a white midsole. Finishing things off, a Mica Green, black and white midsole with a speckled pattern features throughout.

The Nike Air Max 1 ‘Mica Green’ is expected to drop later this year via Nike channels and at select retailers for $150.
