The Air Max 1 is never far from the forefront of Nike's lifestyle lineup, but as it celebrates its 35th anniversary in 2022 it's prepping to be a larger-than-usual part of the Swoosh's casual offerings. Besides a trio of region-exclusive Air Max Day drops – the 'La Ville-Lumière,' the 'Wabi-Sabi' and the 'Blueprint' – the Tinker Hatfield-designed masterpiece will soon release in a 'Treeline' colourway that heads from the city to the country and back again.

Any shoe with an earthy colour scheme, hit of purple and shaggy green suede will draw stoney-baloney comparisons to the SB Dunk High 'Skunk,' but the 'Treeline' is more trail than toke! Its admittedly potent portion of green suede is used on the mudguard and heel, and is contrasted by a sandy tan toebox, quarter and collar. A touch more green appears on the laces, while purple makes its presence felt on the midfoot Swoosh and the tongue tag. The colour scheme is officially named 'Treeline/Light Bordeaux/Dark Driftwood,' and is rounded off by a unique print on the insoles plus a purple Air Max cushioning unit.

There's no hard street date for the Nike Air Max 1 'Treeline' at the time of writing, but it's likely to arrive to Swoosh stockists and the Nike webstore in the coming weeks. When it does release, it'll be priced at $130.
