'Less Is More' Applies for the Nike Air Max 95
A sneaker as (relatively) complex as the can sometimes benefit from simple colourways. The model has been subjected to various palettes and materials over the years, but one consistent element is the pairs that do less tend to be worn more. This upcoming edition that uses all of three colours is likely one that will see plenty of pavement time.
Instead of the ‘greydient’ that identifies the AM95’s OG palettes, this new release uses the upper’s layered sides to reflect the multiple materials that it uses. The lowest section is dark grey synthetic, followed by light grey microfibre in a similar manner to the OG, then red diamond weave ripstop material. The remainder of the upper is all white, and the toe cap is leather.
The soles are a bit more vibrant compared to the uppers. With heel and forefoot Max Air units at its disposal, this colourway highlights these see-through sections in a very bright red. It’s a nice detail considering that recent AM95s have had the insides of their units shaded, but the Air ‘bag’ itself has been clear. The outsole ‘spine’ also appears to use an alternative font for its branding.
Hold tight with the first look above until more official Nike images emerge.
