Big window. Bigger impact. The Air Max BW, released in 1991. The model delivered more support, more padding and more Nike Air than all previous models. In fact, it was such a success that it hasn't gone out of production since its debut. Similar to its predecessor, the Air Max BW would be defined by its lead colourway, officially titled Persian Violet. Heok, a friend and collector tells us his BW-point-of-view.
The Air Max IV, better known as the Air Max Classic BW, was first released in 1991. The BW represents, as far as I can see, the final transition to the 90s era. With this model, the old school style of the 1s, 90s and Lights was adapted to the progressive times. This Air Max was, in his early days, worn by many and was also a link to the techno age – Neon, college apparel and of course the BW on feet. The BW came like a bombshell! The shoe gave many European Fans the feeling of wearing a shoe that is wasn't infected by the American sneaker hype.
With the end of the decade of the 90s faded his fame, but I still like to remember the Persian colorway, which represents one of the first 3 OG colours. The BW is a must-have in every wardrobe. A Classic – The Air Max Classic BW!
