The Nike Air Max Plus Drift Receives an Early Release

Update: January 31, 2024: This just in – the Nike Air Max Plus Drift is seeing an earlier release via Undefeated's New York store. The sneaker store has taken to Instagram to announce that fans can get their hands on the pair in person on February 1 at 11am EST. A digital release will also be held on the same day at 7am PST on Undefeated's website.

Update January 18, 2024: A drop date is set! The Nike Air Max Plus Drift launches on February 15, 2024 via Nike's channels and at select retailers for $185. Keep it locked to Sneaker Freaker for any updates.

Update January 9, 2024: Unofficial on-foot and in-hand content of the Air Max Plus Drift have been released. The featured colourway boasts shades of mustard yellow, cream, brown, and baby blue. The original Air Max Plus's tooling has been incorporated into the design but boasts an entirely new upper decked out in a water droplet-like pattern.

Other colourways have yet to be revealed. Stay tuned while we wait for more official details.

Nike’s perennial Air Max Plus has been dominating sneaker headlines as of late, coming through in a plethora of colourways both new and old. The 25-year-old model has also been privy to a few collaborations this year, touching base with A-COLD-WALL* and Patta for some ultra-hype releases. In 2024, the TN train will continue, with rumours that the ‘Hyper Blue’ will make a triumphant return and a new variation will debut.

This leaked news comes from internal Nike documents viewed by Complex, and allegedly features a new TN variation dubbed the Air Max Plus Drift. It doesn’t look overtly different to the regular Air Max Plus, however boasts thicker moulded veins that protrude out. The neon pair pictured above is allegedly set to be exclusive to Team Swoosh’s neighbourhood retail partners, possibly hinting that these will be more limited than it’s GR counterpart. Also contained in the document are ‘Light Silver’ and ‘Concord’ colourways that use the TN’s signature gradient.

The Air Max Plus Drift is allegedly dropping in May as part of Nike’s Summer 2024 range and will retail for $185. There’s been no official public word on the Air Max Plus Drift. Stay locked to keep updated.
