Nike Get Spooky with the Air Presto Again
The may have been launched as a technical runner back in the day, but its modern lifestyle remake has seen it take on the role as the foundation for a number of fun themes. This spooky spider and slime edition is one such example, as it appears to be one of a handful of models selected for the Swoosh’s annual Halloween-inspired collection – which isn’t too far away.
also featured the Air Presto front and centre, and this year’s take also follows similar conventions. Returning is the black stretchy neoprene-like upper and ghost-like frosted external hardware with graphics beneath the surface, but that’s where the similarities stop. Goopy green lining and stitching accents hit the shoes instead of last year’s pumpkin orange. Furthermore, the black stencil images this time are incorporated more subtly with a spider on the lateral side. A fun detail is the long shadow cast on the heel tab reading NIKE in a capitalised font that evokes classic horror movies. The outsoles are complementarily green, and also feature some speckled detail, possibly denoting a recycled aspect.
Expect this Nike Air Presto to be available at retailers in late October in time for Halloween.
