Official Images: Nike Air Ship ‘Team Orange’

It looks like are aiming for the to be their next big retro basketball model, as another new colourway has surfaced following the recent news of the . Joining that yellow-tinged edition will be the ‘Team Orange’, which has been shared by Jordan collector .
His passion for product has earned him an early pair directly from the Swoosh, and he was quick to take to Instagram to share detailed shots of the shoes. Just like the ‘University Gold’, this version is also a flip of the white and red 1984 OG, retaining a mainly leather upper with nylon tongues. In the shots above, the ‘Team Orange’ inserts on the Swoosh and ankle collar certainly resemble the OG, but rest assured this is a new colourway.
These images also reveal that the shoes are not only packaged with an additional set of tonal laces, but also an ‘owner’s manual’ reminiscent of the paper tags packaged with Nike shoes in the 1980s. There’s a bit of reimagination going on here, as Nike are calling this colourway a PE (Player Exclusive), when in fact, it never existed back in 1984. The new packaging also includes newspaper-styled wrapping paper and a period correct black and red Nike box.
According to @mr_unloved1s, the Nike Air Ship ‘Team Orange’ – and more colours – will arrive towards the end of 2022.
