The Nike Air Zoom Generation Returns in an OG Colourway

As we expect the Nike LeBron 21 in the near future, are taking us back to 2003 with the re-release of LeBron James’ first signature sneaker: the . Marking its 20th anniversary, the Air Zoom Generation will release in an OG colourway later this summer.
Dubbed the ‘Debut’ colourway, wore this exact iteration in his first-ever NBA game against the Sacramento Kings in 2003. Co-designed by Aaron Cooper, Eric Avar, and Tinker Hatfield, the sneaker features a white leather upper with black ballistic mesh panelling seen on quarter panels. Nike branding is seen on the lateral sides, with a red outline around the white Swoosh. LeBron’s OG logo is seen on the tongue, with LeBron’s name seen on the ruby jewelled label on the tongue.
The external heel counter features a metallic red panel with more ballistic mesh extending down into the midsole. As far as cushioning, the OG had a forefoot Zoom unit with an encapsulated Air unit in the heel, with a carbon fibre shank plate placed in the midfoot for rigidity. Lastly, a herringbone patterned white outsole finishes off the sneaker.
