The Nike Cortez celebrated its 50th anniversary in 2022, but this year things have been a little quieter. That said, the classic Swoosh silhouette still has a loyal legion of fans behind it, including The Bear actor Jeremy Allen White, who recently told British GQ he wanted his own Cortez colab. Unfortunately, that doesn’t seem to have Nike’s seal of approval (yet), but we’re willing to make do with a different pair in the meantime.

While we’re still no closer to that ‘Triple White’ re-release (sorry, JAW), Nike have now dressed the model in a ‘Miami Dolphins’ colourway. The combination of white, ‘Dusty Cactus’ and ‘Mars Clay’ hues proved popular on a recent edition of the Nike Dunk Low, so it was only fitting to test them out on a different silhouette. Starting off with a white leather base, the teal-tinted ‘Dusty Cactus’ shade saturates the Swooshes, heels and tongue tab branding, while ‘Mars Clay’ adds a pop of orange to the sole unit.

As it stands, there’s no release date for the (unofficial) ‘Miami Dolphins’ Nike Cortez, but be sure to stay locked for more news on the pair as it comes in.

Up next, another Travis Scott x Jordan Jumpman Jack colourway has surfaced.
