This Nike Dunk High Is Giving New York Knicks Vibes
YERRRRR! latest two-tone take on the is dressed in an orange and blue colour scheme that's giving New York Knicks vibes. The New York Mets, Florida Gators and a handful of other sports franchises/collegiate squads can lay claim to this high-cut classic's colours, but as the is still a hoops shoe at its core, it's only right to equate this pair to the Knickerbockers – even if there was a Knicks-themed that appeared as part of the x Nike pack. Maybe if it appeared earlier, the Knicks woudn't have finished 11th in the Eastern Conference this season, but that's water under the hoop at this point.
The orange and blue colour scheme offers familiar, sporty style, and is very similar to 2013 release, save for the flip-flopped colourblocking on the toebox, mudguard and eyestays. This contrast covers the entirity of the shoe's upper, but is most notable on the midfoot, where blue laces and quarter panels land beside orange Swooshes and eyestays for the design's most visually stimulating segment. Down below, white midsoles and orange outsoles round off the look. Another connection of note is that its overall look is similar to a Japan-exclusive Dunk High 'City Attack' from 1999.
At the time of writing, a release date for these Dunk Highs has yet to be announced. However, they're sure to drop before the Knicks get back into the playoffs – and should retail for a standard $110.
