The Nike ISPA Mindbody Gets a Stealthy Black Makeover
Since launching their sub-label in 2018, have continued to reimagine the future of footwear design. Standing for a set of four principles; improvise, scavenge, protect and adapt, the line is dedicated to finding well-designed solutions to coping with the built environment and has introduced silhouettes like the Mindbody to the Swoosh’s roster.
The ISPA Mindbody was originally imagined for rest and recovery, and is actually one of the brand’s more circular silhouettes, meaning it’s both good for your feet and the environment. Taking into account the aforementioned principles, the shoe’s design took into account its end of life, and instead of any glue, the model is held together by a simple cording system. That doesn’t mean they’ll fall apart on you though - like all Nike models the ISPA Mindbody would have been put through rigorous testing.
Crafted with recycled yarn that’s been weaved into uppers, this iteration of the Nike ISPA Mindbody arrives in a stealthy black colourway that boasts ‘Anthracite’ and ‘Sail’ accents. A reinforced toe cap and cord-lock lacing system add structure and security, while traditional sockliners have been replaced with more Flyknit material. A pillowy foam midsole sits underfoot, and this comes rounded off with a rubber outsole for added durability.
As it stands, a release date for the Nike ISPA Mindbody ‘Black/Anthracite’ is still TBC, but be sure to stay locked to Sneaker Freaker for more updates as they come in.
In other news, Nike is New Balance for copying their Flyknit tech.
