Nike Unveil the Ja Morant 1 'Zombie’ For Halloween

Nike will be hoping the embattled Memphis Grizzlies superstar Ja Morant can keep a clean record this off-season. Arguably the most marketable young American athlete in the NBA, Nike were obviously betting big on the 23-year-old livewire, with LeBron James’s retirement looming and the influx of European talent taking the league by storm. Still, Morant’s landmark sneaker deal has not been pulled from the table, with Morant signing a multi-year shoe contract with Nike in 2019.

The latest colourway to surface is one for the spooky season. The Nike Ja 1 ‘Halloween’ is composed of a mix of ‘Lime Blast’, ‘Oil Green’, ‘Black’, ‘Hemp’ and ‘Cacao Wow’. The ankle collars are emblazoned with creepy zombie hands, while Ja’s number 12 is rendered in bloody red on the heels.

The Nike Ja 1 debuted in April. Nike’s first signature shoe for a Gen Z athlete, the model is equipped with Air Zoom bags and focuses on three key performance pillars: dynamic lockdown, responsive ride and support for landing.

Look for the Nike Ja 1 ‘Halloween’ to rise from the dead in October.
