There’s Been a $200,000 Smash-and-Grab at a Nike Memphis Store
Organised crime is in the sneaker industry, with millions of dollars worth of merchandise being stolen, and stories are continuing to surface of high-stakes heists. It wasn’t long ago when Nike’s Memphis warehouse – the company’s biggest distribution centre – was raided. Over 20 trailers were broken into with thieves stealing over $800,000 .
Now, allegations have emerged stating that $200,000 worth of goods were stolen this week in a single robbery at Team Swoosh’s Memphis employee store. According to reports by , thieves ransacked a store in Tennessee at 4am, stealing almost a quarter of a million dollars worth in sneakers and other Swoosh gear. Police were called to the scene, and allegedly witnessed five different cars fleeing with their headlights off.
